Goldberg. Nestled between the two wings of this extraordinary home is a tranquil walled courtyard with a fountain and plantings of Japanese maple and bamboo.
This residence contains the best of Rebori's Art Moderne efforts - his sense of proportion and scale which make this house so livable in contrast to its neighboring Victorian mansions: the use of two-story glass block walls which heighten the natural light throughout the home, the subtle light niches in the stairwells, the massive brick fireplace in the family room which was the artist studio of Lillian Florsheim. Finally, the extraordinary Moderne detail work in the moldings, handrails and balcony were created by Rebori's friend, Edgar Miller.
There is a wonderful view of the lake from the public rooms and master bedroom of this house. There are five bedrooms and five bathrooms ( all done in classic Goldberg style) on three levels and an attached two-car garage.
