CADS PRESIDENT JOHNSON STEPS DOWN
On February 25, 2007 at the CADS Annual Meeting, Bennett Johnson passed the baton on to Joe Loundy as president of the Chicago Art Deco Society
. We honor Bennett Johnson on the conclusion of his 6th year as President of the CADS Board. Bennett played a key role in organizing and implementing many successful events during his time in office. Starting in 2001 Bennett organized a successful post-conference tour to Chicago following the International Congress of Art Deco Societies Meeting in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Concluding in 2006 Bennett oversaw an extraordinary series of events celebrating CADS 25th Anniversary. In between there was an impressive list of lectures, tours of collectors' homes and points of interest in nearby areas. In addition, Bennett, along with Kristan McKinsey brought new standards of excellence to the Chicago Art Deco Society Magazine. We salute Bennett Johnson as he moves on to new challenges. Well done!
